About Us

about

Originally a small farm in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside run by the Lamb Family, Scalm Park has become a hive of activity centred around a stunning parkland golf course and thriving caravan site (with a decent amount of farming thrown in).

In the early days we built the Clubhouse and 16 Bay Driving Range as a way to use a piece of land that was dedicated to the set-aside scheme, followed shortly after by a 9 hole golf course in the area once used for grazing sheep and growing fruit. You can still find fruiting Pear, Plum and Apple trees amongst the golf holes.

Over the next five years we added on to the course to make a complete 18 hole course and became affiliated with the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs, our steadily growing membership has allowed for ongoing investment in the team and equipment for course maintenance resulting in a course which can be played year-round (weather permitting).

Starting out as a small Caravan Club offering with just 8 pitches in the area overlooking the Golf Course, we now offer more than 100 season pitches for touring caravans and 80 Static caravans. We also offer various types of accommodation including Static Caravans and Glamping Pods for visitors. Also on-site we have 3 well stocked fishing lakes and a footgolf course.

Still a working farm, Scalm Park provides a unique countryside environment, surrounded by woodland and wildlife. A perfect antidote to the stress and strain of modern life.
